The Wonder Hutch

The chronicles of my artistic endeavors, with a little life mixed in. All comments and persuasions welcome.

Today sucks.

For no reason besides that I’m wasting it. I’m feeling low and unmotivated. Lacking direction. Anxious about certain responsibilities I don’t want to face. Possibly blue because yesterday evening was so awesome and now it’s over. There is only one solution for this.

I’m going to make today BETTER. I’m going to do something with it, whether I want to or not.

And by the gods, I’m going to make some kind of art by the end of it.

Feeling low…

I hope it doesn’t last too long. Life is beautiful most of the time but right now it just sucks…

I wish I could say I drew this, but alas, I just stole it from someone else’s tumblog. HE’SSOPRETTY.

The shape traced out by the Sun when photographed at the same time each day over the course of a year is called an analemma. The Sun’s apparent shift is caused by the Earth’s motion around the Sun when combined with the tilt of the Earth’s rotation axis. The Sun will appear at its highest point of the analemma during summer and at its lowest during winter. Analemmas created from different Earth latitudes would appear at least slightly different, as well as analemmas created at a different time each day.

Also, a highly recognizable shape to anyone who read Neal Stephenson’s Anathem.

this freaking makes my night. I am unreasonably excited by this picture.

How many of the people that we pass on the street, or wait in line behind, or tip when we finish lunch - how many of those people are life long friends that we’ll never know, lovers we’ll never cherish?
